Hand Up Homes for Youth, Northern Nevada, is seeking qualified, responsible individuals for the position of OVERNIGHT YOUTH COUNSELOR. Overnight Counselors typically enjoy three days off per week, and receive benefits after 60 days of full-time employment. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, criminal justice or a related field preferred, will consider a combination of education and experience.

Duties include but not limited to:

• -Bed checks, monitoring for safety
• -Distribution of Medications
• -Activity planning when appropriate
• -Participation in weekly team meetings
• -Documentation: Incident Reporting, General Information Log
• -Assisting clients with laundry, hygiene and morning routine
• -Reading and responding to client journals
• -Modeling appropriate behavior and program concepts for clients
• -Communication with all team members, Local Leadership Team, outside agencies and families
• -Some housekeeping responsibilities
• -On-Call responsibilities as needed
• -Other responsibilities as necessary
